Too Soon for Daisies
A Comedy By William Dinner, William Morum
Auditions: December 18 and 19, 2017
Dates: February 9 through February 25, 2018
Directed by Chaz Pitman, this English comedy follows the adventures of three elderly English ladies who ‘escape’ from their retirement home in a rowboat and accidentally lose the oars. They drift down the coast several miles and finally reach the shore near a coastal village in Suffolk. The play opens with their discovery of an empty and apparently abandoned cottage outside of town. As they’re deciding what to do next they fantasize how lovely it would be if they owned the house and didn’t have to go back to their institution. We invite you to follow the antics of these ladies— because it truly is too soon for daisies. Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
